New Master’s Program in Construction and Oil & Gas Launched with Industry Support

Date:

The Master’s program in the Construction and Oil & Gas sectors is now officially endorsed by ANCE, the National Association of Construction Builders in Catania, and accredited by the CPD Certification Service in London. This program is supported by major construction and infrastructure companies operating globally. Its primary aim is to train graduates, helping them enhance their expertise in managing construction processes and operations, ultimately positioning them for roles in multinational corporations within the Construction and Oil & Gas industries. To date, over 2,300 professionals have graduated from Dirextra and are employed by leading companies across 50 countries worldwide.

Upcoming editions of the Master’s program will be held in Bologna starting January 26, 2022, and in Manchester, UK, where the Dirextra group is headquartered, beginning March 26, 2022. The course spans a total of 1,200 hours, with 200 hours (2 months) dedicated to classroom training, including exercises, tests, exams, and a final thesis. The remaining 1,000 hours (6 months) will take place on-site at a hosting company, which will also provide food and accommodation for participants.

The teaching staff includes certified project managers, technical and site directors, entrepreneurs, and general managers. The Master’s program covers various modules, such as “Organization of Construction Companies and Strategies,” “Organization of Oil & Gas Companies and Strategies,” “Technical Direction of Construction Sites,” “Environmental, Quality, or Safety Management of Temporary or Mobile Sites,” “Well Drilling Engineering,” among others.

Engineer Andrea D’Oria’s Professional Journey

Andrea D’Oria, a civil engineer graduated from the Policlinico of Bari, exemplifies how Dirextra has been instrumental in his education and career. His journey took him from Bari to Belgium, passing through England and Malta. Previously employed in the GIS sector in the UK, D’Oria aimed to work for large companies and give his career a more international character. He enrolled in a Master’s program in Malta at the Vassallo Group, the island’s leading construction firm. During his internship, facilitated by Dirextra, he was selected for a highly qualified position in Kallo, Belgium. Today, Andrea works at one of the largest and most efficient propane dehydrogenation plants in Europe, fulfilling his aspiration for an international career.

Graduate Pass in Puglia: Eligibility and Application Process

For those, like Andrea D’Oria, who have graduated from a university in Puglia, the Puglia Region offers the Graduate Pass, a financial incentive that enables attendance at Master’s programs and other advanced training courses. This financial assistance is provided through vouchers that cover all or part of the course expenses and is calculated based on the applicant’s family ISEE certification.
