Global High Season Tourism Boost: Attracting International Visitors

To effectively attract tourists to Vietnam during the high season of international tourism, the development and promotion of tourism with good targets are considered important tasks.

Recent policies such as the Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Exit and Entry of Vietnamese Citizens and the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Stay of Foreigners in Vietnam , which entered into force on August 15, 2023, and Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP on key measures to accelerate the recovery and development of tourism, are considered to be a powerful lever.

However, to take full advantage of these policies, Vietnam’s tourism industry still needs to make a lot of effort. In addition to creating unique products that drive spend and length of stay, special attention should be given to promotion in key tourist markets.

The government has instructed the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with agencies and localities to promote communication in international tourism markets on Vietnam’s new visa policy. He asked to focus on China, the Republic of Korea, India, the United Kingdom…, to develop the Halal tourism market, to prepare well for the high international tourist season from September, and to promote tourism more methodically and effectively.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism should also coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to increase cultural diplomacy activities, increase Vietnam’s presence at prestigious and large-scale cultural, sports and tourism events in the region. And in the world…

The deputy director of the National Tourism Authority, Hà Van Siêu, stressed at a conference that one of the key tasks of the tourism industry was to implement the national marketing strategy until 2030, adopted last March. This strategy proposes a series of measures such as innovation and diversification of forms of marketing, application of digital technologies and improvement of tourism marketing capacities.

According to Nguyên Trùng Khanh, director of the National Tourism Authority, in order to attract international visitors, Vietnam must provide human resources to ensure optimal quality of services, focus on destination management to help visitors experience unforgettable experiences, and carry out well-oriented and well-targeted tourism promotion activities.
