Israel-Hamas Conflict Update: USA and UK Respond, Netanyahu’s Stance

The war between Israel and Hamas is in its 98th day. According to the terrorist group that controls the Gaza Strip, over 23 thousand Palestinians have died, including 8 thousand children, and 53 thousand have been injured since the start of military operations. Israel instead has 1,150 deaths among its ranks.

Overnight, the USA and the United Kingdom conducted a series of air strikes in Yemen against the Houthi rebels, with the support of Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and Bahrain. From London they report that the ability of the rebel militias to hit civilian targets in the Red Sea has been significantly diminished by these bombings. Saudi Arabia is worried, fearing an escalation on its southern border. The Houthis have announced that Israeli ships and those heading to the occupied territories of Palestine remain their targets.

Israeli President Netanyahu attacked South Africa after Pretoria filed a genocide charge against Tel Aviv at the International Court of Justice in The Hague. Netanyahu called the African state the “legal arm of Hamas”. Meanwhile, Chile has agreed with South Africa to support the legal initiative.
