Assets under management fell by 12% in the UK in 2022

The United States and the United Kingdom on Wednesday promised new military aid to Ukraine, in its fight to repel the Russian invasion.

The American Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, announced, at the start of a meeting of the Defense contact group for Ukraine in the so-called “Ramstein” format at NATO headquarters in Brussels, new support military in Kiev in the amount of 200 million dollars (approximately 188.65 million euros).

This “package” includes ammunition for anti-aircraft defense systems, artillery, anti-tank weapons and equipment to counter Russian drones, he said upon his arrival at NATO.

This new aid brings the total amount of US support for kyiv to $43.9 billion.

“Make no mistake, the United States will continue to support Ukraine for as long as necessary,” added Mr. Austin, against a backdrop of the resurgence of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and as continued financial support for Ukraine was one of the stumbling blocks in discussions between Republicans and Democrats in the House of Representatives during the 2024 budget discussions.

In London, the British Ministry of Defense announced new aid of one hundred million pounds (around 116 million euros) to kyiv.

British Defense Minister Grant Shapps is due to confirm this announcement on Wednesday in Brussels in the presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who was making his first visit to NATO headquarters since the start of the war.

British aid will help the Ukrainian army clear minefields, maintain its vehicles, strengthen its defenses and protect key national infrastructure. Funding is provided by the International Fund for Ukraine, in which several European countries participate.
