Prince George at 10: New Royal Portrait Revealed

Date:

On July 22, 2013, the whole of the United Kingdom trembled with impatience at the idea of discovering the face of the one who, one day, will accede to the British throne and who will also be at the head of the fourteen other kingdoms of the Commonwealth, Prince George. Described as “the most famous child in the world” a week before his birth by the Washington Post, the little boy has since grown up. And that’s the way to say it. This Saturday, July 22, 2023, the eldest son of Prince William and Catherine Middleton celebrated his tenth birthday! On this special and symbolic occasion, his two parents published, on their official Instagram account, a portrait of their big boy, all smiles as usual.

Prince George celebrates his tenth birthday

We can never say it enough, but how time flies! The whole world still remembers the announcement of the birth of the first child of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, July 22, 2013. And the least we can say is that this coming into the world was expected. For ten years now, the young boy has been the joy of his entourage and fans of the royal family, at each of his appearances in public. In order to mark this event as it should and to share it with the whole world, the princely couple published, this Saturday, July 22, on their Instagram account, an adorable photo of the big brother of Charlotte and Louis (to discover just HERE). The latter, dressed in a plaid shirt and water green pants, displays, as usual, his already legendary smile. And in caption of the photo, we could read: “10 today! Wishing Prince George a very happy birthday! (10 years today! I wish Prince George a very happy birthday!)”

George of England, a young prince with great responsibilities

Despite his young age, Prince George is already subject to many responsibilities. If he is a regular of media appearances – like last July 16, on the occasion of the final of the Wimbledon tennis tournament –, last May, during the coronation of his grandfather, Charles III, the big brother of Charlotte and Louis had to meet an obligation imposed by his princely status. And according to the words of Tom Quinn, royal author, this did not fail to worry his parents: “Kate and William are worried about the idea of seeing their son exposed to too much pressure if he agrees to play a leading role in the coronation of his grandfather.
