The financial platform launches a new section dedicated to places, activities and tickets to book while on vacation and with up to 10% cashback. It is added to hotels, airport lounges and currency exchange in 30 currencies.
Revolut’s journey into the world of travel began several years ago, starting with access to airport lounges around the world, up to an offer that today competes with the most popular platforms in the sector. The global financial super-app that has over 30 million customers worldwide is launching “Experiences”, an internal marketplace of the application – therefore only customers can access – in which to identify tours, activities and entrance tickets for attractions to the four corners of the planet. The magic word is, as always, “cashback”: by booking a tourist activity you will in fact be entitled to an instant return of up to 10%, depending on the Revolut plan subscribed to (there are currently five available: Standard, which is free, Plus, Premium, Metal and Ultra, from 2.99 to 45 euros per month). Customers will then have more cash on hand while on the go.
Available to Revolut customers in Europe and the United Kingdom, Experiences is therefore the latest addition to the suite of travel products offered by the application. Whether you want to admire the Parisian skyline from the Eiffel Tower, cross the rocky desert of Agafay or relax for a few hours at Budapest’s Széchenyi Baths, there are over 300,000 experiences to choose from. To book, existing customers can go to the Hub section of the app and click on “Experiences”. Of course, new customers must first download the Revolut app to their smartphones from the Google Play or Apple Store and sign up for immediate access to Revolut Experiences.
Places, attractions and experiences can be searched using specific filters, so as to build a perfect day and discover times and dates available for visits or activities. Experiences can be paid for using your Revolut account and cashback is paid immediately upon completion of the booking. 3% of the total cashback is returned with the Standard and Plus plans, 5% cashback with the Premium plan, 10% with the Metal and Ultra plans.
Revolut therefore becomes, more and more, a perfect travel companion: those who have an account can book accommodation through Stays, divide travel expenses among friends, exchange currency in over 30 different global currencies and travel insurance is included according to of the plan. Not forgetting the airport lounges: Premium and Metal customers get free access for themselves and one or three companions (depending on the plan) in over a thousand partner airport lounges worldwide, in the event of a flight delay of more than 60 minutes. If the flight is not delayed, Premium and Metal customers can access the lounges at discounted prices while those with an Ultra plan can access for free and without limits.
You hardly need anything else to leave. Based on a study carried out by the platform founded in 2015 by Nikolay Storonsky with the research company Dynata in the first half of 2023 (representative sample of the Italian population of one thousand individuals of age), gastronomic experiences are the favorites of traveling Italians (the 68% of the interviewees), followed by visiting the typical places of a destination (57%), nature and animals (49%), art and museums (48%) and finally shopping (36%).

Among other things, the expansion of Revolut’s travel product suite comes just a few days after the launch of the new Ultra subscription plan, mentioned above, which – still on the subject of travel – offers the “Cancellation for any reason” insurance “.
